William Richard Heinrichs(Bill) was born Dec.23, 1955 to John and Sarah(Neustaeter) Heinrichs. Bill grew up in Chortitz, Sk and attended Versailles, Wymark and Irwin Schools. Bill met Dora Broesky on Valentine’s Day in 1974 and they married later that year on November 16. They were blessed with 2 sons. Shane was born May 13, 1975 and Travis on March 13, 1979. At the age of 16, Bill worked in the meat industry for Holmes Meats, Dycks Packers, Treen Packers, Beechy Meats and later purchased the business, renaming it Heinrichs Packers. In later years he also worked for Superior Meats. In the early 80’s Bill and Dora started farming in the Chortitz area, later moving to Rosenhof in 1999. They did custom meat cutting and wrapping and Bill became quite popular for his delicious Smoked Farmers sausage. Bill also drove School bus for Wymark School and was always known for having the most well-behaved kids on the bus! Bill gained new experiences working for Rem Manufacturing, trucking for Aero Farms and long haul trucking for Truck Freight. Bill had many passions including hunting, fishing, camping, leather work, gardening, carpentry, flagging for the Stock Car Association and cruising with his 1968 Meteor Convertible. In later years, he joined the Garden Head Gun Club in Carmichael where he loved competing in Cowboy Action Shooting, gaining many more new friends. Bill’s health struggles began in early 2021 and in those 3 years he fought with determination and always tried to remain positive. Bill went to his Heavenly home on April 3, 2024 with Family by his side at the age of 68. He is Survived by his loving wife Dora of 49 years and Son Travis(Jolissa). Grandchildren: Adaira, Kaylen, Geran, Kayla and Cheyanne. Bill is also survived by siblings Marion, John(Suzanne), Trudy(Les)Fisher, Randy(Marlene), David and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews. Bill is predeceased by Son Shane, Parents John and Sarah, Sister Sadie, Nephew Aaron, and many Aunt’s, Uncles and In-laws.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. William “Bill” Heinrichs will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Christian Fellowship Church in Rhineland with Pastor Tim Knelsen Officiating.
