TUTTROEN – Dakota  -  It is with great sadness and broken hearts the family of Dakota Tuttroen and his partner Brooklyn Cappelle & their children announce his sudden passing.  Dakota was born on April 30, 1993 in Saskatoon, SK and passed away on March 24, 2024. Dakota lived in Saskatoon until he was 11 and spent his time between the city, the farm in Canwood, and the cabin at Delaronde Lake. At age of 12 he moved to Redcliff, AB where he spent the remainder of his life until he met his soulmate and best friend Brooklyn Cappelle.  They moved to Swift Current area where they welcomed their baby girl Millie in 2020 and their baby boy Lincoln in 2022. Dakota was a devoted, loving, silly daddy and absolutely adored by his kids.

Dakota got into the gas & oil industry at 18 years old and enjoyed pipelining for many years. He spent a couple of years flying to Kearl Lake Oil Sands and also a couple of years in construction building shops all around southern Sask area. His passion were his family, fishing, gaming, his dogs and friends. Dakota had a love for the outdoors that was instilled in him by his grandparents and parents. He spent his whole life with a fishing rod in his hands. His true passion came into his life when he became a father. Those two kids were his whole world and he brought so much love and laughter into their lives. His love of dogs came at an early age. Since 3 years old he has had dogs by his side. His pack (Pablo, Izzy, Chewy and Shadow) are lost without him.

Dakota is survived by; his spouse Brooklyn Cappelle, their kids Millie & Lincoln Tuttroen; his mom Charity Thall, step-dad Spiker Thall; his father Greg Sikorski and partner Rebecca McLain; step-mom Trina Pfneisl and step brothers Liam & Heath; gramma Elaine Tuttroen & her partner Eddie Strelau; grandparents Karen & Gary Thall and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
