PRIBYL Mr. Robert A., of Swift Current passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the CypressRegionalHospital at the age of 64 years. Robert is survived by his wife, Edna (Dyck) Pribyl; daughter, Tanya (Darren) Jensen, two granddaughters, Shania and Samantha; son, Kelly (Meaghan) Pribyl; and his dog, Poblo; brothers: Frank (Betty) Pribyl, John (Blanda) Pribyl, Wilfred (deceased) Sylvia Pribyl; sisters: Francis (Ken) Badley, Thelma (Wib) Pleckham, Verna (Jack – deceased) Dowling, Louise Mackay; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his father, Bill (May 30, 1976); mother, Leonie (October 13, 1993); father-in-law, George Dyck (April 7, 1984); and mother-in-law (June 7, 2007). Robert was born December 7, 1945 and he attended school in Velva and then transferred to SuccessSchool. Robert worked for MacWilliam construction, and then as an economy window washer. He then started at International Harvester, then on to South West Pro-Ag as Parts man and then he went on to Redhead Equipment. Robert belonged to the Hockey Hounds and was also a Beaver Leader for Boy Scouts Six. Robert enjoyed bowling, camping and going to the Bronco games. He loved to collect belt buckles and toy tractors. Robert loved to shop and find the best deals possible when he was able to. He was diagnosed with prostate and bone cancer in December 2008. He put on a GREAT fight right to the end. Robert missed working at Redhead and all the guys and gals at work and especially all the customers. The family of Robert would like to thank everyone who phoned him and came to visit him. Thanks to Dale Fisher for being a true friend to Robert and thanks to Rob Puckett for helping him with his collection of toys. Thanks to all who visited him in the hospital. A BIG THANK YOU to Dr. Kielly, Robert said you were the BEST and you are, and thanks to all the nurses and the north wing, you gals were awesome to Robert. Thanks to home care nurses for being there for Robert, he thought the world of you. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the SPCA. At Robert’s request, there will be no funeral service. Arrangements were entrusted to Parkside Memorial Funeral Home, Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
