WILLIAMS – Allan Clarence age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 8, 2009.  Al was born in Bethune, SK on June 27, 1941 and grew up in North Battleford, SK.  He started in the lumber business at the age of 16 and remained in the industry for over 50 years.  Anyone who knew Al knew he loved a good joke and he could take one as well as he could give them out.  He was the best storyteller and loved to make people laugh.  At the same time he was that man you could go to for anything and the job would get done.  You always knew where you stood, he said it like it was and stuck by his word.  Family and friends meant the most to Al, he was a wonderful husband, Dad, Papa and friend.  He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Luella Williams and his son, Todd Williams.  He is survived by his wife and best friend of 40 years, BettyAnn; daughter Rene Carson and family: Shawn, Blythe, Haven and Sullivan; daughter Robyn Williams; and daughter Lana (John) Lavoie; brother, Murray (Sandra) Williams, sister Doreen (Jack) Bouma and sister Lois (Ray) McNaught.  He will be greatly remembered by all who loved him.  We all have an “Al” story that will keep us smiling, which is how he would want it.  A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from First United Church with Christine Ciona officiating.  The honorary pallbearers were all his many friends.  The ushers were:  Brad Mallory, Mike Mallory, Randy Hurl, Jimmy Cuthbert and Guy Stringer.  Donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation – Saskatchewan Chapter Box 309 Saskatoon, SK S7K 3L3.  For further information or to sign the family book of condolence, visit our website at .  Arrangements were entrusted to Parkside Memorial Funeral Home.
