HANSEN nee Walker
Elizabeth Josephine (May 19, 1915 – September 22, 2009). It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Hansen at the age of 94 years. She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Agnes Beal and Doris Harris; brother-in-law, Carl Berlin; her daughters-in-law, Gertrude (Ken), Jean and Sharon (George) ; her grandchildren: Linda (Emory), Wayne (Betty-Jean), Laurie (Dwayne), and Darcy as well as 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Lawrence (1992), her 2 sons George (2002) and Ken (1994), and by 4 sisters and 1 brother. Elizabeth was born in Osage, Saskatchewan and spent her life in small town Saskatchewan following her husband, who worked for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, before finally settling in Swift Current. She spent the last few years living with her grandchildren in Strathmore, AB, Carlyle, Sask. and Reno, Nevada before suffering dementia and moving to Cedars Villa Nursing Home in Calgary. There will be a graveside service at the MemoryGardensCemetery in Swift Current on Wednesday, September 30/2009 at 1;00 p.m. with a reception to follow at the home of Don and Karin Mitchell (1412 Elmwood Place, Swift Current).
