FALK – Luella (Toews), born at Morse, Saskatchewan on July 23, 1917 and passed away on September 9, 2009. She attended Schoenthal school and later when her mother died of cancer she assumed the role of homemaker. On April 10, 1938 she married Abe Falk and celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary this past April. Luella was a member of the Herbert Evangelical Free Church where she served on the ladies auxiliary, taught Sunday school, and served in the nursery. Luella was a hard worker; besides household duties she did milking chores, gardening and helped out with the harvesting. Luella leaves to mourn her husband Abe, daughters Norma Mathies, Lacombe, AB; Donna (Lloyd) Lofgren, Calgary, AB; Gail Andres, Calgary, AB; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Luella was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Mary Toews, brothers Art Toews, John Toews, sisters Susie, and infant sister Mary. A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. from the LivingFaithFellowshipChurch, Herbert, Saskatchewan with Pastor Donovan Epp officiating. A eulogy was read by Norma Mathies. Pallbearers were Cory Mathies, Kendra Bamford, Chris Lofgren, Mark Lofgren, Todd Andres, and Kyle Andres. The interment took place at HerbertCemetery, Herbert, Saskatchewan. In Luella’s memory donations may be made to the Gideon’s International Canada.
