Sign Book of Condolences

 JOHNSON Inez Mildred, aged 87 years of the Herbert Nursing Home, formerly of Swift Current, passed away December 16, 2008 at the Herbert Nursing Home.  The Memorial service was held on December 20, 2008 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Pastor Amber Hoffman officiating.  The interment was held at Mount Pleasant Burial Park.  Inez is survived by her sisters:  Judith Campbell of Brooks, AB, Irene Retslaff of Outlook, SK and Ruby Zimmerman of West Minister, B.C.; and many nieces and nephews.  Inez was predeceased by her husband, Birger in 1999; her parents, father, Ole Hagen in 1931 and mother, Ellen Hagen in 1972; sisters, Olga and Alice; as well as many brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews.  Inez attended most of her school years in Admiral, SK at Anderson Ville School.  On July 4, 1944 Inez married Birger Johnson and farmed at Crichton, SK for many years.  They moved to Swift Current in 1974 when they sold their farm.  Inez worked at the Wheatland Mall and became a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and women groups.  Inez loved to visit with family and friends and loved to share stories.  In 2006 Inez took ill and was moved to the Herbert Nursing Home until her passing.  She will be sadly missed by all those who loved her.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parkside Memorial Funeral Home, Swift Current, SK.
