 CROTEAU Mr. John Laurent.  Jack was born on April 28, 1947 and died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, August 20, 2008.  He is so very fondly and lovingly remembered by his mother, Merle Croteau, of Pennant, SK; his brothers and sisters:  Della, Joel (Barb), Marlene and Denise (Howard); his nieces and nephews:  Julie, Denn, Stuart, Laura and Anne; his big cousins, Laura and Norma; uncles and aunts:  Merlin, Marjorie, Maxine, Kay, Jeannette and Annette; and cousins across Saskatchewan and Alberta.  He was predeceased by his father, Laurent, in 1988.  He is also fondly remembered by the community of Pennant for his first blue car, his farming help, his warm school bus, coffee row, CB radios, fire, water, garbage and grass.  Jack was a volunteer extraordinaire.  He has laughed with 4-HERS, amateur radio operators, Lions, The Royal Canadian Legion, Firefighters, Waste Water managers across Saskatchewan and beyond.  Jack was a connector.  He loved to joke and tease and loved to get it back.  The Good Lord has taken care of his pain.  Prayers will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (41 – 2nd Avenue North East) in Swift Current at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2008.  The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with Father Sathiadas Antony officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Arthritis Society, or to the Church Building Fund.  For further information or to sign the family book of condolence please visit our website at parksidefuneralhome.com.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parkside Memorial Funeral Home, Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
