Anna was born to Peter and Elizabeth Janzen on September 9, 1922, at Blumenort, Saskatchewan. She was baptized and married in the Somerfelder Mennonite Church at Schoenfeld, Saskatchewan. She married Peter Knelsen on December 4, 1949. They resided on the farm at Wymark, Saskatchewan. They had eight children. Mother loved to garden, especially growing flowers of many kinds, as would many that would grow in this climate. She was a many talented, creative person—she knit, crocheted, sewed, and did various other crafts. Mother enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She loved to laugh. It was not unusual to see her wipe tears out of her eyes, because she laughed so hard. She was a good mother who loved us and served us in so many ways; cooking, cleaning, choring, and making special days more special. We will miss her but we rejoice with her that her earthly journey is complete. The funeral service was held on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Parkside Memorial Funeral Chapel. The pallbearers were Clayton Knelsen, Kelsey Knelsen, Andrew Glum, Jonathon Glum, Stephen Glum, and Matthew Brenner. The internment was held at Schanzenfeld Cemetery.
