Susie was born at the family farm in Schoenfeld, Saskatchewan, on October 17, 1920, the youngest of four children. On December 1, 1940, she married Frank Kehler and they resided in the Wymark area where they raised six children. Susie enjoyed the outdoors, especially her garden. She loved all sports, particularly baseball and broomball. Susie was well known for her cooking abilities, above all “kielke” which she took great pleasure in teaching to many Grade 9 classes in the Wymark School. In March 1994, Mom suffered a massive stroke which took away her speech and mobility.
As an expression of sympathy, those wishing to remember Susie Kehler may do so with a gift to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association.
