ULPH, Acacia Cheyenne Rose. A very special little girl that was loved by many even the people that never got to meet her. Acacia was born on December 21st, 2007 at 2:30 a.m. weighing 1 lb. 1 oz to her proud parents Morgan and Angel Ulph. Shortly after the hello’s were said, sadly the good-byes followed, but our good-byes are not forever it is only till we meet again. Now you are up with your great-grandparents Benjamin and Helen Berteig, Jack Chapman, and Frieda Kaiser sharing laughter and joys with them. We know you will always be safe and you will never have to suffer or know what pain is, as you left this world not having to know or feel them. You may not be coming home as our little baby girl for everyone to see and hold, but in our hearts, our memories, you will never be far. We could stay at the hospital with you forever but we know we have to say our good-byes to your little body before it gets too painful. You are a very special little girl, we will sorely miss not seeing you grow up and become a young girl and go through what life had in plan. Your family will never forget you, your older brother Scott, your grandparents Hal and Lisa Ulph, Ronald and Bertha Kaiser; your great-grandparents Charles and Eileen Ulph, Esther Chapman, and Kasper Kaiser; your Uncle Aaron and Auntie Leanne Ulph, and Auntie Rose Winsley, your many cousins and extended family. You will always be in our hearts as a very special little lady that was needed by God for a job only she could do, watch over each of us and keep us safe. We will never forget the joy that you have brought into our lives for such a short time. Even though the sands of time continue there will never be a day you will not be missed. We will never stop loving our precious little girl. The funeral service was held on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church with Pastor James Paulgaard officiating. The pallbearers were Aaron Ulph, Ross Hart, Mickeal Berteig, and Brian Berteig. The interment was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parkside Memorial Funeral Home, Swift Current, Saskatchewan. God, Take This Child…
by Nancy Scott
Sweet child whom we never really got to know,
It’s hard for us to let you go.
We waited and we wanted you.
We had so many dreams for you.
We think of smiles we’ll never see.
We think of events that will never be.
There will be no first steps and no first teeth.
There is only a void and our own grief.
We planned to take you to places far and near.
We yearned to keep you safe and free from fear.
We hoped to show you much of your new world.
We wanted to teach you as your life unfurled.
It’s hard to understand why you, our baby, died.
We feel so numb right now, many tears we’ve cried.
We have so many questions and no answers seem to come.
We tried so hard to save you; nothing could be done.
God, we stand before you broken-hearted
and ask you to heal these lives that must be parted
from this little one we can no longer hold,
who will always be a part of us, even when we’re old.
God, take this child in your loving arms.
No more can she suffer any harm.
Bless her always and bless us too.
Be with us and help us to make it through.
