MILLER Eileen Nellie (1915 – 2007). With great sadness, the family of Eileen Miller announces her passing on September 5, 2007. Born on the family farm near Pambrun, Saskatchewan, Eileen spent the next ninety-one years having a huge impact and affect on her large family. She lived in Regina briefly where she was married (later divorced) and had her daughter, Donna. She returned to Pambrun to help her father raise younger sisters when her mother died in 1940. Soon after that she moved to Swift Current with two of her sisters and took a secretarial course. She worked at the experimental farm in Swift Current for a while and then took a job at the Swift Current Sun newspaper where she worked for many years. She then took a hairdressing course and apprenticed in Maple Creek, receiving her certificate in 1960. Shortly after that she moved to Vancouver, B.C. where she worked as a hairdresser for 17 years. She eventually owned her own shop and ran a successful business for many years. In 1978 she sold her business and returned to Swift Current where she has lived ever since. Eileen was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, golf, bowling, curling, knitting, crocheting and reading. Her family was always a top priority and she stayed well connected with her entire large extended family until the end. She was predeceased by her daughter, Donna; her parents, Jesse and Mathilda Miller; brothers: Roy, Dale, Lloyd and Bob; sisters: Bernice Dancy, Hazel Farrow, Elsie Gordon and Pearl Parsneau; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is survived by sisters: Margaret Anderson, Vera Bulbeck, Dorothy Noble; and sister-in-law, Stella Burton; as well as more than 200 loving nieces ands nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Eileen will be sorely missed by her family but she lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. A celebration of her long and happy life was held at Parkside Memorial Funeral Chapel on September 10, 2007.
