PRANG – Eva (nee Rempel) was born February 17, 1926, the youngest of 10 children to John and Susana (Wall) Rempel. They lived in the Reed Valley District on Plumi Moose Hill; northwest of Herbert. Eva was born and raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ as her Lord at the age of 13. Eva was baptized at the age of 18. In 1947, Eva met Henry Prang who was a good motorcycle friend of her brother Fred. Eva stole Henry’s heart and the two of them began their romantic journey with Henry’s Indian motorcycle. On July 23, 1947 they were united in marriage and the young couple found great joy in seeing their dreams grow. The family was blessed with six children. The love of Eva’s life was called home on their 50th anniversary day July 23, 1997. Life became very different for Eva, as her and Henry did everything together. Eva was a very gentle, artistic and private person. She had loving relationships with all her children and grandchildren. She loved to tease and tickle the grandchildren. Eva’s relationship with her children went beyond being a good mom as she was also a “dear friend.” With the loss of our best friend, the phone calls, visits, and motherly advice will be missed. She leaves to mourn Evelyn (Larry) Baerg, Marion (Larry) Boese, Jerry (Michelle) Prang, Henry (Shelly) Prang, Darlene (Cal) England, Vivian (Mike) Schellenberg, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eva was called to her heavenly home on June 6, 2007. With mom’s strong faith in God and the support of her family, she was able to face her daily trials of kidney failure. A private family service was held Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Zion Mennonite Church with Pastors Helen and Bill Kruger officiating. A special thank you to all who helped, supported, and prayed for us during this time. In her memory, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or Gideon’s.
