TEDRICK Mr. Harry Lloyd, of Golden West Manor, passed away on January 12, 2007. Harry was born on September 12, 1928 at Maple Creek, SK and later moved to Waldeck for a few years. He then moved to Vanguard where he finished his schooling. He left home at age sixteen to work in B.C. picking strawberries for his Uncle Harry which was quite odd as Harry was color blind; this didn’t last very long when he went to work on a survey crew at Canal Flats, B.C. with a good friend, Pete Greiser. Brother Jim and Harry went to Trade School in Calgary to take a sheet metal course. Harry had the distinction of being only one of two metal workers that had a Calgary Masters Mechanic License at that time. Harry then studied with his Dad to become a Sask. Pool agent. He bought grain at Lake Valley, Verendrye, Merid and D’Arcy, SK. His next job was to become a janitor at Yellowknife, N.W.T. at William McDonald, then head janitor at Sissons and later Superintendent of Maintenance of three schools. He left Yellowknife and was superintendent of maintenance at Rosetown, SK for nine years then to retire in Swift Current, SK. Harry was a Boy Scout Leader and manager of a ball club, alternate bus driver, served on Church Boards, Noble Grand with Oddfellows in Rosetown for two years and then District Deputy Grand Master for one year. Hobbies were: bowling, carpentering, curling, playing ball, golfing and later years, reading and doing crossword puzzles. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Liane, of 53 years; sons: Douglas (Lori), Arlen (Brenda), and Guy (Ruth); daughter, Lisa; grandsons: Ajay, Joshua, Robbie, Warren, Curtis, Jason, Justin; granddaughters: Nicole, Michelene and Heather; great-granddaughters: Kira August and Jayden Marie. He is also survived by sisters: Juanita, Olive (Sis), Joyce, Enid, Eleanor (Howard); and brother, Bob (Lill); as well as in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. Harry was predeceased by his parents, Russell and Mable Tedrick; brothers, Jim and Gordon; sister, Iola Whitney. The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Parkside Memorial Funeral Chapel. The Leader of the service will be Danny Page`, of Rosetown. The organist will be Arlene Olson and the soloist will be Barbara Tedrick. The ushers are, Gale Nerada and Ray Humble. The honorary pallbearers are all of his friends. Memorial donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Lung Association.
